We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable and detailed oriented to fill a Recruiter and Human Resources Assistant position in Rochester, MN. We operate on a national scale, targeting customers who farm and reside in agriculturally productive areas of the U.S. Our Recruiter and Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for actively recruiting various open positions within the Company, with most of their focus being on outside sales personnel throughout designated areas of the U.S. This role requires creativity, quick adaptation to change and has the ability to keep the success and forward movement of the business as the ultimate top priority.
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level HR Assistant to support our Human Resources team. This role will assist with recruiting, administrative HR tasks, data tracking, and process improvement initiatives, including the use of AI tools. Recruiting Support
- Assist with posting job openings on job boards and company platforms
- Screen resumes and schedule interviews with candidates
- Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure accurate candidate records
- Maintain employee files and ensure proper document organization and compliance
- Perform filing (both physical and electronic) and data entry tasks
- Support onboarding activities, including paperwork and new hire coordination
- Assist with general inquiries and day-to-day office support
- Create, update, and manage spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
- Track recruiting metrics, employee data, and HR reports
- Ensure accuracy and organization of HR-related data
- Utilize AI tools to support recruiting, reporting, and administrative efficiencies
- Assist in identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes
- Support digital transformation efforts within the HR function
- High school diploma or associate degree required; bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in HR, Business, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in administrative or HR-related roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data organization, spreadsheets)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Exposure to or interest in recruiting or human resources
- Experience with HR systems or applicant tracking systems
- Familiarity with AI tools or automation technology
- Basic financial or accounting background (helpful for reporting, budgeting, or payroll-related tasks)
- Highly organized and dependable
- Eager to learn and grow in an HR career
- Tech-savvy and adaptable to new tools
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Competitive entry-level $21 to $23 per hour based on experience
